Find your group and enjoy fun and fellowship
Christian life is meant for community. At Sunbury UMC, we believe life is a journey on which we grow in our faith by knowing, loving and serving God in community with others. We encourage you to get involved by engaging with any of our current small groups or help envision new ones!
O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors)
This is a social group welcome to all who are 55 or older. The group meets the first Friday of each month in the Sunbury UMC dining room for a bring your own sack lunch. Meetings are hosted by two members of the group, with games and crafts afterward. We also take occasional trips to places of interest.
United Methodist Women (UMW)
Sunbury UMW is made up of four circles that meet monthly for fellowship, a program and sometimes food. They work throughout the church, community and world in many ways to help those in need through their prayers and giving.
Quilting Groups
Our Quilting Ministry meets twice monthly and lovingly makes quilts for our Prayer Shawl ministry, the Worthington Children’s Home, Flatrock Children’s Home, and Central Ohio House of Hope. We welcome new quilters anytime. No experience is needed.
The Piece Corps quilters and PIECEkeepers quilters also meet twice monthly at Sunbury UMC. All quilters are welcomed by these groups too.

Emmaus Share Groups
These small groups of 3-5 people meet throughout the week, usually at the church, and are composed of people who have gone on a Walk to Emmaus, a three-day spiritual retreat. There are both men’s groups and women’s groups.
