Heidi’s Bio:

From Heidi:

“I oversee and plan; Crossroads Sunday school, Cabin Fever, Spring Fever, Community Easter Celebration, Summer Splash and Cookout, Village Harvest Festival outreach concerts, Overnight Camp Kick-off, Vacation Bible School, Rally Day, Bible Sunday, Summer Storytime, 5th Sunday Storytime, Winter Storytime, Childcare and the Child Protection Policy. I am also involved with Breakfast with Santa and SUM lunCh.

I graduated from St. Francis DeSales in 1982 and have worked with children ever since. I have worked in Childcare facilities as well as done in home childcare so that i could be home with my own children. I feel that a child's Spiritual welfare is the first and foremost importance but I am also very passionate and completely dedicated to their emotional and physical well being while in the care of the church and beyond. I wrote the current Child Protection Policy with the guidance of Safe Sanctuaries and the United Methodist Church Doctrine and that policy was approved by Staff Parish and Administrative Council and has been used in the church since 2004.

Outside my job it’s all about my family. I love being with my husband Jack, my two kids Sean and Erin, my daughter in law Jessica and my 2 beautiful granddaughters Harper and Isla. I love to cook and bake with the girls and all the time i get to spend with them is a gift I cherish. Being together and hanging out with all of them is my favorite thing. Jack and I also like to travel and one of our favorite places is Disney World. We have spent many vacations there as a family as well as Jack and I taking trips there without kids. We love spending time in NC MD, FL and CA visiting out of state family. I personally love to read in my down time. It is my favorite way to relax. I am a proud Dane and I'm Irish. I love everything Danish and we attend the Dublin Irish Festival every year. Bagpipes and children's giggles are my favorite sound. Once a year Jack and I, along with my brothers and sisters, participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in honor of my parents.”
