We're Not Inviting People to Church?

Joseph Solomon has a great video called "Stop Inviting People To Your Church!" which you can find here. And, it may seem counterintuitive, but it's really very true, and very simple.

People are busy. People get invited to a lot of things. If we're honest with ourselves, what we're really inviting people to is an opportunity to encounter Jesus. We're inviting people to check out a community that we've taken part of that helps us live out that Jesus-relational life.

Check out my video by clicking the image above, or by clicking here to hear about one of my favorite "invites" in the book of John.

Do we want to have your friends, families, coworkers, etc. that don’t have church homes to join us on Easter (and… in general)? OF COURSE. Just remember, it's more than an invite to a place, an event, or even a service... we are inviting people to join us in a relationship.

Much Love,
